An international meeting of the alumni was conceived by Nisar Oomer , at Dubai, UAE and assisted by Mohamed Aslam and his team in the UAE and Oman with a great success and an amount of INR 5000000.00 was committed by the members present for the benefit of the school.
Dr.Zahir Kazi , President Anjuman I Islam and Dr. Shaik Abdulla were invited. Dr. Zahir and Mrs. Zahir Kazi, graced the occasion and were hosted by the UAE team.
It may be recorded that the entire cost of the events were borne by the UAE and the Oman students with an exemplary fellowship. The event was a great success and an amount of INR 5000000.00 was committed by the members present for the benefit of the school. However , since this funding is from abroad , we needed to create a legal channel to accept this funding by the foreign students .
On inquiring with the authorities , it was evident that getting RBI permission in today s scenario is almost impossible.This matter was discussed with Dr.Zahir , himself to get some advise .After consulting the Anjuman finance department, he suggested to us to use the Anjuman I Islam , Mumbai ‘ s account to facilitate the collection .Dr. Zahir has assured us that the amount thus collected ,will be used for specific projects for Anjuman school at Panchgani only .
The funds will be released for the specific purpose only after the clearance of the President of the alumni.
After having deliberated this with the alumni committee on the 15 April 2015 , in presence of Saeed Ahmed and Badruddin Siddiqui , it was agreed to use this facility at the moment and also to keep the options open to handle the funds independently in future. We have this commitment in writing from the management.
The account details are shared with the donors abroad and we hope now that the funds can be collected through a legal channel.
